3 tips to improve your photography

If you want to improve the look and feel of your brand online then take a look at the photos you’re using. This is a great place to start because strong visuals can really make your brand and engage your clients or customers.

Whether you want to improve your website, social media accounts or even traditional media, strong imagery usually equals better performance.

So how can you improve your photography immediately and without taking out a small loan?

  1. Always check what’s in the background when you take a photo. Pros can remove unwanted items with Photoshop but it’s much quicker and easier for you if you can take a good photo that needs minimal editing to start with.
  2. Edit your photos before posting. There are lots of apps available for this – I use Lightroom. Try enhancing exposure, contrast and saturation for photos that pop. It’ll make all the difference!
  3. Try something new. It might be that you’ve never shown the faces behind you business, so think about showcasing your staff and/or customers. Or maybe you’ve found inspiration in nature – think about sharing this too even if it’s not directly related to your product. If you have a great story to tell, your audience will listen.
