3 ways to elevate your Covid-19 social media content

I think we can all agree that Covid-19 social media content is getting repetitive and dare I say, boring. However, it’s still really important that businesses continue to share their updates and engage with audiences on social media.

Consider taking these 3 approaches to cut through the noise:

  1. Use animation to showcase new measures. This is a more light-hearted way to showcase your new safety measures. It’s much more interesting and entertaining for your audience than a standard video, photos or lists of instructions.
  2. Find your brand ambassadors. Use real clients/customers to tell your story and talk about how well you’ve responded to the crisis. Real-life case studies and testimonials are one of the most powerful marketing tools out there because it helps bring your business to life for your audience. This can also work using your own employees for both external and internal comms.
  3. Engage with your audience. Find out more about how they want you to respond to the situation and then do it. You can use polls, live chats and competitions to find out more about how your customers and clients are feeling. The key to this approach is then responding accordingly – this will make your audience feel involved in your decision-making process and that you really value their thoughts and, ultimately, custom.

Over the past few months, there’s been a huge increase in social media usage, so there’s no getting away from the fact it’s a huge opportunity for businesses to showcase what they’re doing. So it’s definitely worth taking the time to review what you’re already doing and think about how to make it even better.
