The client

Accuracy Matters is an agency offering a range of professional editorial services, including proofreading, copy-editing, editing, copywriting and writing. They provide editorial services for many different types of organisations, including government departments and agencies, nongovernmental and intergovernmental bodies, design, branding and content agencies, financial institutions, education providers, local authorities and charities.

The challenge

The team at Accuracy Matters came to us in search of a marketing solution that would be consistent and take the worry away from them. They were often struggling to know what content to create, when to create it and how to distribute it to effectively reach their ideal clients.

They had previously tried using internal team members to support with various marketing tasks, but hadn’t been able to get to grips with how their marketing was performing. This made it challenging for them to make strategic decisions when it came to promoting their business.

The solution

We began by working with the Accuracy Matters team to create a bespoke marketing strategy focused around consistency and growth. We also supported them with strategic marketing decisions, such as which email marketing provider to go with and how to approach choosing a CRM system.

The strategy included implementing a regular content calendar, posting to their LinkedIn company page, Instagram and Facebook accounts multiple times per week. While we were focused on attracting their ideal clients, we also used more entertaining content types to differentiate them from their competitors and bring the Accuracy Matters brand personality to life. For example, we regularly shared word origins and hangman-style posts to celebrate key social media holidays and encourage community engagement.

In addition to managing their social media, we supported them to optimise their blogs for SEO, including managing a blogging schedule that included guest blogs from key industry partners to maximise reach and introduce their content to new audiences.

They also had various lists of contacts that they wanted to reach out to via email, but hadn’t been able to do so due to lack of capacity in the team. We were able to quickly get a regular newsletter up and running within two months of working together.
