It’s a constant challenge for all small business owners: how do you elevate your brand so you can find and attract your ideal clients who want to work with you? And what’s more, how do you work out what to prioritise when you don’t have unlimited time and money to make marketing happen? In this post, we’re sharing 3 simple and quick ways to elevate your brand and find your ideal clients.
1. Be consistent with your content
We know, we know, you’ve heard this one before. And the reason you hear so much about consistency from marketers is because it’s so important for your business to stay visible. Marketing is all about getting your brand out there and in front of your target audience. And particularly on social media, being consistent with your posting frequency is essential to staying top of mind.
Remember that consistency isn’t just about sharing your content regularly. It’s also about making sure that the content you’re putting out on each channel is consistent with your brand messaging and has a consistent look and feel. It’s likely that your audience will research your business on multiple channels before committing to buying from you, so you don’t want them to think they’re looking at multiple different brands – it should be obvious that everything belongs to the same business.
2. Put a face to the name
The more you’re prepared to put your face out there, the easier and quicker people will get to know, like and trust you. And this is what will ultimately help that all-important bottom line because by the time you get a prospect into a sales call, they’ll already be warmed up and feel like they know something about you.
It can feel really scary to put your face out there, but it’s definitely worthwhile! There’s nothing harder than trying to market a faceless business. Showing the faces behind your business helps to break down those virtual barriers between you and your ideal clients.
3. Use short-form video to find your ideal clients
There’s no escaping it – short-form video is here to stay. And it’s also a great way to communicate with your audience and stop the scroll on social media. Plus, once you start to create short videos regularly, it becomes easier and quicker. Long gone are the days when the only videos you could create required highly specialised equipment and a significant budget.
Now is the time to make the most of all the camera features on your fancy smartphone and start creating short video clips to engage your audience. A lot of brands still aren’t using this form of content so it’s a quick way to elevate your brand and stand out from the crowd. Keep videos short – around 15 to 30 seconds is great, and try not to go over 60 seconds for video posts as people lose interest quickly.
