Introducing: the Worry-Free Marketing System

Are you a business leader who wants to know how to worry less about your marketing and achieve more for your business? Over the past 12 months, we’ve worked with lots of business leaders like you, supporting them with their marketing. And now, we’re please to share that we’ve identified the key things you should be doing to embed strategic marketing communications in your business. All by following one, simple approach: the Worry-Free Marketing System.

What is the Worry-Free Marketing System?

The Worry-Free Marketing System is the name we’ve given to our tried and tested approach to embedding an effective strategic marketing communications approach into businesses. It involves taking a practical and consistent approach to your content marketing. This ensures you’re able to communicate regularly and clearly with your ideal clients to generate more interest in your business.

We break it down into 6 steps:

  1. Create your marketing strategy
  2. Create a realistic and achievable marketing plan
  3. Connect regularly through social media
  4. Educate regularly through blogging
  5. Communicate regularly through email marketing
  6. Monitor and optimise your marketing activities

Who is the Worry-Free Marketing System for?

We’re not going to lie: The Worry-Free Marketing system is not particularly glamorous, and it’s not going to tell you many things you don’t already know.

But what it will do is give you a practical framework that is reasonable for a business like yours to implement. All it requires is your commitment and a little bit of trust in the process. And you’ll reap the rewards of having an integrated marketing function that keeps going, day in, day out, and helps unlock your full leadership potential. So you can worry less and achieve more to grow your business. And consider marketing as important as your tax return.

Follow 5 core principles to worry less about your marketing

Here are the main principles of the Worry-Free Marketing System for you to embrace if you’re ready to worry less and achieve more:

Get 1 month ahead

This is one of the main principles of the Worry-Free Marketing System. Once you’re one month ahead, congratulations are in order! You can breathe a sigh of relief because you’re now doing proactive, rather than reactive marketing of your business. Which will give you more freedom to lead your business rather than worrying about marketing minutiae. You’ll then stick to this one month ahead system to ensure you’re consistently reaching your audience and showing up for them. You’ll also gather enough data to make smart decisions on how to optimise your marketing every month. So you end up improving your marketing every month incrementally rather than biting off more than you can chew; which leads to huge gains over a 12 month period and beyond.

Just do it. If you don’t press publish, it doesn’t count.

In the immortal words of Nike: just do it. Seriously, send that email you spent hours crafting and press publish on that blog post that’s been sitting there in the back end of your website for 3 months. If you don’t make it public, then it doesn’t count. Even if you feel like you’ve exhausted all your marketing energy creating an awesome piece of content.

Don’t be afraid to repeat yourself.

Repurposing content isn’t just smart: it’s essential if you want to get ahead with your marketing and feel in control of your marketing communications. This is the ultimate strategic play when it comes to your marketing. And no, it’s not cheating (as long as you’re not plagiarising someone else, of course). One of the biggest fears we hear from our clients is that people will get bored seeing the same thing over and over again. But the reality is that most people aren’t actually paying attention that closely, so they won’t remember that they’ve seen it before. In fact, most people need to see the same message 7 times before they remember it!

Know your numbers, but don’t obsess over them.

Reporting and monitoring is essential if you want to develop your marketing approach over a period of time. But it’s critical that you don’t obsess over them. Data can give some indication of how effective your marketing activities are, but the customer journey isn’t linear any more, so it’s not an exact science. Use the data to inform your decisions about how to improve your marketing, try it and continue to monitor the impact. This is a continuous journey of improvement!

Trust the process.

This is the most important part: you have to trust that this approach will create great results for your business. We know it works because we’ve implemented it successfully alongside many business leaders, resulting not only in increased business, but also increased clarity, confidence and control over their marketing.

One client has embarked on a whole new process to create nearly 100 professional thought leadership videos – all because the Worry-Free Marketing System has given him the headspace to think about what else he can do to improve the visibility of his business.

But, we do get it; it can be hard to trust in a straightforward solution when it seems like you’ve been struggling with your marketing communications for such a long time. So we’d love to chat and share more about the process.
